Belly Dancing UW is happy to announce that we are planning our spring showcase for April 26, 2024. It will be held at Memorial Union, in the Great Hall on the 4th floor.
Our showcase “Body Canvas,” is an event where you can come see our organization perform a range of styles of dance within the realm of bellydance. There will also be performances done by other campus orgs and visiting dancers. We will be having guest orgs including The Mad Tappers, South East Asian Dance Organization (SEADO), and Sláinte Irish Dancers! We hope that you can see dance as a movement through time and styles, showcased through the movements and variety of costumes and musical pieces.
The event is open to the public at no cost of attendance. Doors will open at 6 PM, and the show will begin at 7 PM and finish at 9 PM with an intermission in between. Food will be provided at an earlier time before the show, and cake at intermission.
